Even an article. But I would hope that Motor Trend, Road and Track, Car and Driver, or Automobile to do an entire issue dedicated to the streets, even if it means filling some pages with light-to-light drag racing or highway speed runs.
Drift Tengoku (Drift Heaven) do regular coverages as this video shows.
If not, I'll try doing some for Jalopnik

I'd say probably not seeing as it's not exactly legal, I could see Jalopnik sharing your post as long as it's "Jalop" enough. I'd definitely be interested.

Not gonna happen. This is sort of like asking when deadspin is going to start covering League of Legends tournaments. People outside the drifting fandom circles don't see it as a legitimate sport. They think its something cool Vin Diesel's stunt guy does at the tension apex of every FF film, and not much more than that.

It's not a sport, it's just entertainment.
And that's what sells.

If you're talking about illegal street drifting and/or racing that's something you would not see coverage of anywhere except to criticize it. Otherwise if you are looking at the kind of stuff where some of the Pros get a permit and close off a street for drifting there is already coverage for that.

Nah, these guys are a bunch of wankers. There is no purpose in promoting this type of activity, other than to shame people that do something stupid.
Now, something professional like a Formula D event, then yes. I believe there have been stories on this before. It's neat to get a different take on motorsports for sure, but only of the legal variety.

Drifting is more like a hangout at the track, kind of like kids going to the skate park after school. Having a professional drift series is like playing HORSE at an NBA level, kind of silly, but it can be done.
